The Copper Whisk
Bristol
I stumbled upon The Copper Whisk during a weekend in Bristol, and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The menu is small but beautifully curated, with every dish clearly built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. I ordered the slow-braised beef featherblade, which arrived impossibly tender and packed with depth of flavour. The roasted garlic mash alone deserves its own fan club.

Service was warm without feeling overbearing, and the ambience struck that perfect balance between cosy and modern. Prices are fair for the quality. I’d absolutely return—next time for their Sunday roast, which the table next to me wouldn’t stop raving about.
